This playbill announces one of the amateur performances of Ben Jonson’s Every Man in His Humour, staged for the benefit of Leigh Hunt.  This performance was at Miss Kelly’s Theatre, 73 Dean Street, Soho, on Saturday evening, September 20^th, 1845.  Dickens had the starring role of Captain Bobadil; others in the cast were Douglas Jerrold and Mark Lemon.  With a reproduction of a portrait of Dickens in the role of Captain Bobadil.
